A total of 150 Thalassemic children have been treated with free bone marrow transplants so far as told by Dr. Rachna Narain, Secretary of South East Asia Institute for Thalassemia (SEAIT) in a program that took place on World Thalassaemia Day 2022 (8th May) in Jaipur. Every year around 10,000 children are diagnosed with Thalassemia major in India.
