Camp for thalassemic children was organized by TEAM – SEAIT, at RNT medical college and hospital, Udaipur with help of Dr. Lakhan Poswal, Medical Superintendent, Dr. Vivek Arora, HOD, Department of Pediatrics, RNT medical college, and the staff taking care of thalassemia patients. Dr. Avinash Bansal, senior Pediatrician from Kota talked about the prevention of thalassemia.
51 thalassemia families were counseled regarding management, treatment, and prevention of thalassemia.
110 samples were collected for HLA typing free of cost.
CME on “Thalassemia – Prevention and Cure” an overview was conducted for resident doctors of pediatric and gynecology department after the camp.
